Everything the Data Lab publishes and maintains. We care about research other people can use, so most of our work ships as something you can browse, run, or download — not just a PDF.
Projects & Tools
Dataset repositories, interactive tools, and living companions to our surveys: fake-news.site with its self-guided tutorial and GUIDE research atlas, datasets.syr.edu with 19 social network datasets, WebShapes for turning a network into a 3D shape, and the Social Media Mining textbook site.
Code & Data
Fourteen repositories on GitHub, each tied to a specific paper, grouped by area: misinformation and fake news detection (SAFE, HERO, SLIM, ReCOVery, CHECKED), interpretable network representations (KroneckerHull, SpectralPath, SpectralRobustness, HON-tools), and graph sparsification and graph neural networks (SGCN, Ultra-sparsifier, ADVERSPARSE).
Member Tools
Internal tools for lab members: the Data Lab wiki, Google Workspace on the data.syr.edu domain, computing cluster documentation, and account settings. You will need to sign in.
